Hello! This is my first ever blog post (ok, I did have a Tumblr page in college, but I’m not counting that), so I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Alycia, and I’m a Brooklyn-based photographer capturing significant moments in people’s lives. I often get asked what kind of a photographer I am, and I always answer that I’m a people photographer. While this website and blog are largely focused on weddings, I actually photograph all sorts of non-wedding things too – but the common theme is always people. Every part of the human experience is interesting to me, but I especially love weddings and parties since they’re such a pure concentration of emotion. I can’t adequately express how much I love being a photographer – it’s been a whole decade now, and it still blows my mind that people actually give me money to do my favorite thing in the world.
Anyways, I feel more comfortable expressing myself in images rather than words (go figure), so here are a few photos of myself that I love!
